The Mexican Cultural Center of Northern California ("MCCNC," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus limited technical data:

• Newsletter signups. When you subscribe, we collect your email address through our email provider, Mailchimp.
• Contact and interest forms. If you reach out through a form on our site, we collect the name, email, phone, organization, and message you provide.
• Donations, tickets, and sponsorships. These are processed by PayPal. Your payment is handled on PayPal's secure systems. We do not collect or store your card or bank information.
• Automatically collected data. Like most websites, we may collect basic technical information (such as browser type, device, and pages visited) and, if enabled, aggregate analytics. See "Cookies and tracking" below.

How we use your information

• To send you our newsletter and updates about events, scholarships, and community news (only if you subscribed).
• To respond to your questions and follow up on your interest in donating, sponsoring, or volunteering.
• To process and acknowledge donations, ticket purchases, and sponsorships.
• To understand how our site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Third-party services

We rely on a few trusted services, each with its own privacy policy:

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Where technically feasible, we honor these signals and will not load non-essential analytics for visitors who send them.

Your privacy rights

You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email, or request that we access, correct, or delete the personal information you've shared with us by emailing MCCNC@mccnc.org.

California law gives residents certain rights regarding their personal information, including the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. MCCNC is a nonprofit organization and does not sell your personal information. To exercise any privacy right, contact us at the address below and we will respond as required by law.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Payments are handled entirely by PayPal, and our site does not store payment details. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
